Unicorn Communications a
Drug-Free work environment. Job offers
will be contingent upon successfully passing
a drug screening test. Unicorn will conduct
background checks and all job offers are
contingent upon successfully passing
background checks.
Some work locations requires
a medical check-up prior to Visa
application, in these circumstances, Unicorn
will require the employee to undergo the
required medical checkups and taking of the
respective shots. Unicorn will cover
this cost.
Principal
Office:
The
principal office is based in Oklahoma.
Work can and will be preformed as projects
demand, inclusive of overseas locations.
Anyone applying for employment must understand
that as the company projects demand, your work
assignments will be assigned accordingly.
Project
Office:
When
assigned to a specific project, you will be
assigned to work out of that project office.
Depending upon location of the project,
an overseas premium and allowance will be paid
based upon conditions of the respective project
location.
Pay
Periods:
Hourly
Employees (Non-Exempt):
Pay
period is bi-weekly (every two weeks).
Employee is responsible for completing a
daily time sheet and getting it signed by their
Supervisor, failure to submit approved timesheet
will result in not being paid for that period.
Overtime
is paid in arrears by one pay period.
Salaried
Employees (Exempt):
Pay
period is bi-weekly (every two weeks).
Work
hours will be recorded and reported.
Position
does not rate overtime pay.
An overseas premium is paid due to the
extreme number of hours and workdays required
when working on overseas projects.
Overseas
assignments will predominantly be Exempt status.
Employment
type:
All work
is W2 based (no 1099); the company will withhold
all deductions and court ordered garnishments.
Paychecks
will be directly deposited to bank of
employee’s choice.
Workday:
USA
Based work:
Average
workday is from 8AM till 5PM
Average
workweek is Monday through Friday.
Overseas
Project Work:
Workdays
and hours will be driven by the needs of the
program and will be identified prior to project
assignment.
Company
Benefits:
The
company provides medical insurance for employee
and pays 100% of the cost of this insurance.
Employee may elect to add their legal
dependents onto this policy at their own
expense.
The
company provides Vision and Dental insurance for
the employee and pays 100% of the cost for this
insurance.
Employee may elect to add their legal
dependents onto this policy at their own
expense.
The
company provides Short and Long Term disability
insurance for employees and pays 100% of the
cost of insurance.
On
Overseas assignments, the company will cover
100% of emergency medical costs.
Company
Rules:
Appearance:
a)
All project personnel must maintain a
professional appearance at all times when on the
job site or the project offices.
b)
Company provided uniforms must be kept in
good repair and clean.
c)
Any damage to the company provided
uniforms will be the responsibility of the
employee to replace, unless it is considered by
the company to be normal wear and tear, in which
case the company will replace at no cost to the
employee.
d)
Employee provided work pants must be
clean and in good repair.
No holes, rips, or tears allowed.
e)
Jeans must fit properly with the
waistline being two sideways fingers width below
the belly button.
Any work jeans below this point will not
be allowed on the job site and employee will be
docked a days pay. Repeated offences will result
in termination.
Where due to girth, jeans do not stay at
the waistline; employee at their own expense
will wear appropriate suspenders to hold their
pants up.
Hair
length:
As long as hair is kept out of the way of
eyes and up so that it does not represent a
safety hazard, hair can be whatever length
employee desires.
However, if it is found that the hair is
interfering with job duties or creating a safety
risk, then employee will have an option of
cutting hair or termination.
Tattoos:
Tattoos are
allowed as long as they are not offensive or
satanic in nature.
If either of these circumstances apply,
employee must cover these tattoos at all times
while at the job site and or company
vehicles/offices.
It is at the sole discretion of the
company to determine if a tattoo is offensive or
satanic in nature.
Failure to comply with this policy will
result in immediate termination.
Piercing:
Ear piercing are allowed, however only
studs will be worn while on the job site and/or
in company vehicles/offices.
No other visible piercing will be worn
while on the job site and/or in company
vehicles/offices.
Tee
Shirts: The
Company provides uniform shirts that will be
worn at all times while at the job site and/or
in company vehicles/offices. While working
employee may not remove this shirt and go bare
chested or with only a tee shirt.
Any tee shirts worn under the company
uniform shirt must not have any offensive or
satanic images or slogans.
Job
safety:
There will be no tolerance for any
failures to comply with or adhering to company
safety policies.
No horseplay, tricks, etc. will be
tolerated while on the job.
Any employee failing to comply with job
safety standards will be terminated.
Language:
All
employees must be cognizant of their language.
Excessive
uses of profanity while on the job site and/or
in company vehicles/offices will not be
permitted and may result in termination if
deemed excessive by the company.
No
Tobacco Policy:
There
will be NO tobacco use while on the job site
and/or in company vehicles/offices/lay down
yards/warehouses/etc.
This is
inclusive of cigarettes, cigars, snuff, chew,
dip, etc.
Any
violations of this policy will result in
immediate termination.
